KALUSTYAN’S ( Lexington Ave. between 28/29th street. NYC,NY -212 685-3451) will be roasting Big Jim Hatch Green Chiles on Sunday September 29 from 11:00 on until we run out.
This is our 2nd year roasting with Nate Cotanch from Zia Green Chile Company. We sold out early last year- not knowing what to expect so this year we will really stock up!
Please feel free to call if you would like to reserve some in 2 lb or 5 lb increments- $8.99/lb based on raw weight.

Why are they cancelling shoprite hatch green chili roasting?
My understanding is that the weather has been bad and they haven’t been able to get enough chiles harvested. =(
Hatch is by far the best green chili, I grew up in burque and frequent Los quates and frontier when visiting but thank you Wegmans next please carry bueno tamales.
I am Amazed at how many self proclaimed New Mexicans are mispelling *chile* in the comments.
